HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hey Everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I can't believe 2008 is actually ending! I had a really fun year! I got to make a bunch of new iCarly episodes and do a bunch of crazy funny things this season! I also got to work on my cd which has been really exciting! I love getting to go into the studio to write and sing songs knowing you guys will get to hear them soon! I never thought I would get to work with music producers that write songs for some of my favorite artists! Also, I have had some really great times with all my friends! I have had a million embarrassing moments this year but I wouldn't take it back even if I could. (my friends like making fun of me too much! haha) I got to travel a lot this year too and see beautiful countries I had always dreamed of seeing. I really hope everyone had a great year and I hope 2009 is even better! Oh and I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday break! I've been having a really nice time hanging out with my family and friends. I've been horseback riding a lot during the break and I even talked my best friend into coming with me! She was really scared at first because she hadn't ever ridden a horse but now she loves it! The horse I ride is really sweet. Her name is Annie(that's such a cute name lol) and she can eat like 40 carrots in under a minute (okay maybe not that many but quite a few lol). Lastly, I got some pretty cool gifts for Christmas! I got a new acoustic guitar and a new video camera. I'm going to have to start making some videos! lol Ohhh and the coolest gift I received is....A MARSHMALLOW SHOOTER! Omg it's so much fun!!! My friend who gave it to me also got one for herself and we have marshmallow fights now all the time! hahaa Well that's all for now 2009 ROCKS! xoxo, Miranda

When Miranda Cosgrove's family decided they wanted a dog, they did their research, finding an ad in the paper for toy poodles from a breeder. "We went to the person's house, and I went in and went straight to her," Miranda says of now-10-year-old toy poodle Pearl. "She's just really sweet."

Miranda recently sat down for a pet-themed photo shoot with PEOPLE, and PEOPLE Pets was allowed behind the scenes to chat with her about Pearl.
